As part of the ongoing maintenance of the buildings in the Veterans Support Group premises, the facia boards on the southern side of the Qld. Branch building had to be replaced due to excessive weathering and wood rot. This task was completed on Friday the 27th by Men’s Shed volunteers Wozza, Kevin and Andy. New facia boards were prepared by trimming to size and painting on the Thursday, making the Friday task a quick and efficient repair job. In addition, the exposed ends of all the facia boards on the Qld. Branch building had aluminium protection caps installed, thus prolonging the life of the boards.
